NUMEROS EN ESPAÑOL:
The children classified some shapes by counting numbers of sides.
We started singing the "Elephants" song, this helped us give the children a chance to build on the Spanish they have already been learning the last few months. They all sang the song
Every child had a sheet and some shapes such as a triangle or pentagon. Each shape has a different number of sides.
In this lesson I picked up the numbers, counting the sides in Spanish and then classifying them.
I noticed that some children already knew the number of sides to many of the shapes, even without counting them.
We recited the numbers from 1 to 6 in Spanish and everyone was able to do it!
We will keep working with counting, classification and numbers in Spanish and see each child’s progress.
